- Brain Percival - About a Girl, this film won a multitude of awards in 2002 including a BAFTA for Best Short Film
- Ridley Scott - Boy and Bicycle, this was his first film in 1956. It was in black and white following a life in the day of his childhood.
- Stefan Nadelman - Terminal Bar, this was about the life of a bar in New York. He used pictures that had been taken over the full life of the bar and all the regulars. This had a soundtrack and a voice over which was very affective as the music fitted in well with the pictures.
My favourite of the short films was Ridley Scotts, i loved the way in which it was filmed and the idea of a life in the day of.
A Short Film I found which I enjoyed was a Helen Grace film, filmed in a nightclub in south London in 2003 it was nominated for a BAFTA award in 2004. The Film is called Winner Takes All. The film is a comedy about a stranger who walks into a bar and take up the challenge to win a pot of money, there are three tasks he must complete to win, but he gets distracted by a woman at the bar, and mixes up the intructions in a shocking way. This film is told as a story and is narrated in rhyme, which makes the film more comical.
